Mobile SIM Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Friday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) extension services at five locations in Jakarta on Friday to assist residents in renewing their legal driving permits.

According to the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya X (Twitter) account, the locations are:

East Jakarta: Mal Grand Cakung

North Jakarta: LTC Glodok

South Jakarta: Trilogi Kalibata Campus

Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South Lobby of Mal Ciputra

Applicants must bring a photocopy of their valid ID card (KTP), their original SIM and a photocopy of it, a health check certificate, and a psychological test certificate.

The mobile SIM booths only serve extensions for valid SIM A and SIM C licences. If the licence has expired, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a designated police office.

Regarding fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 on Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for a SIM A extension and Rp75,000 for a SIM C extension.

Extensions for SIM B licences can only be processed at the SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differing documentation requirements, as this licence is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
