Mobile SIM Card Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Thursday

The Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) renewal services at five locations in Jakarta on Thursday for residents needing to extend the validity of their driving permits. Based on the official X account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service is open from 8 AM to 2 PM Western Indonesia Time at the following locations: East Jakarta: Front lobby of Grand Cakung Mall; South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi University Kalibata; North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok; Central Jakarta: Parking area of Lapangan Banteng Post Office; West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall. The mobile SIM outlets only serve renewals for valid SIM A and SIM C cards. If the validity period has expired, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a designated police office. Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 on Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the National Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. Renewal of SIM B cards can only be done at the SIM Administration Unit office due to differing documentation requirements, as this licence is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
