Mobile SIM Card Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Thursday

The Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police is operating a mobile driving licence (SIM) renewal service at five locations in Jakarta on Thursday for members of the public wishing to extend the validity of their legal driving permits.

According to the official X account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Western Indonesia Time at the following locations: the front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung in East Jakarta; the side car park of Trilogi University in Kalibata, South Jakarta; the main lobby of LTC Glodok in North Jakarta; the car park of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office in Central Jakarta; and the south lobby of Mall Ciputra in West Jakarta.

The mobile SIM outlets only process renewals for valid SIM A and SIM C licences. If a licence has already expired, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a location designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 on the Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the Indonesian National Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for a SIM A and Rp75,000 for a SIM C.

Renewal of a SIM B licence can only be carried out at a SIM Administration Unit office due to differing documentation requirements, as this licence is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
