Mobile JKN Health Screening Feature Makes It Easier for Participants to Independently Check Their Health
The National Health Insurance (JKN) programme continues to provide conveniences for participants, one of which is through the Health History Screening feature in the Mobile JKN app. This feature helps participants detect their health conditions early while encouraging greater awareness to care more about health.
One participant, Juliyanti (45), admitted that it was her first time conducting independent screening and felt helped by the service. She utilised the Health History Screening feature available in Mobile JKN.
“Previously, I joined a free health test from the police station and was diagnosed with uric acid disease. Before that, I often felt numbness in my hands, but I didn’t think much of it because I thought it was just ordinary fatigue, but now it can be detected earlier through the Mobile JKN app, in my opinion, this feature is very beneficial,” said Juliyanti in a written statement on Monday (30/3/2026).
When asked about the implementation of initial screening before receiving health services at her registered health facility, Juliyanti admitted she did not feel bothered. According to her, that step is actually important to know one’s health condition from the start.
She also assessed that services at the health facility still run quickly and responsively even though participants are asked to fill out the screening first.
“During treatment, there were no obstacles. Personally, I feel satisfied with the services from the health facility. They also serve patients quickly, so I don’t have to wait too long. Even though I was asked to fill out the screening first, I think this is important so that we know our health condition,” she added.
BPJS Kesehatan continues to encourage the public to be more active in utilising digital services, including Mobile JKN and its features. Thus, participants are expected not only to use services when ill, but also to carry out early prevention efforts.
Separately, the Head of the BPJS Kesehatan Batam Branch, Harry Nurdiansyah, said the Health History Screening feature helps JKN participants and the responsible doctors at health facilities get an initial picture of the participant’s body condition. The screening results are considered able to help determine a more structured direction of handling.
“JKN participants who are being treated or relaxing at home can check their health themselves and faster, just through Mobile JKN. Set aside about 5-10 minutes. The results are immediate. Moreover, this screening is only done once a year, so it doesn’t take too much time for our health,” said Harry.
The utilisation of the Health History Screening feature is expected to become an initial step for participants to recognise their health condition independently. Thus, the public can be more alert and carry out earlier prevention, either through a healthy lifestyle or consultation at health facilities.
