Mobile Driving Licence Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta on Saturday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) services at five locations in Jakarta on Saturday to make it easier for residents to renew the validity period of this legal requirement for driving. Quoting the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the TMC Jakarta Metropolitan Police, the service will be open from 08:00 to 12:00 at the following locations: East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall; South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi Kalibata University; North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok; Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office; West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall. The mobile SIM kiosks only serve renewals for certain categories of SIM that are still valid, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the validity period of the SIM has expired, the owner must apply for a new SIM at the location designated by the police. Regarding the renewal fee, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, it is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. For renewing the validity of SIM B, it can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office because of differences in documents, considering that this SIM is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
