Mobile Driving Licence Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta on Monday

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) services at five locations in Jakarta on Monday to make it easier for residents to renew the validity period of this legal driving requirement. According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service will be open from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB at the following locations: East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall; South Jakarta: Parking area beside Trilogi Kalibata University; North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok; Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office; West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall. The mobile SIM kiosks only serve renewals for certain categories of still-valid SIMs, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the validity period of the SIM has expired, the owner must apply for a new SIM at the location designated by the police. Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 76 of 2020 on Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, it is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. For renewing the validity of SIM B, it can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in documents, considering that this SIM is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
