Mobile Driving Licence Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta on Friday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) services at five locations in Jakarta on Friday to make it easier for residents to renew the validity period of this legal driving requirement. According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the TMC Jakarta Metropolitan Police, the service will operate from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB at the following locations: East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall; South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi Kalibata University; North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok; Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office; West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall. The mobile SIM service units only handle renewals for still-valid licences of certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the validity period of the SIM has expired, the owner must apply for a new SIM at the locations designated by the police. Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, it is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. Meanwhile, for renewing the validity of SIM B, this can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) offices due to differences in documentation, considering that SIM B is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
