Mobile Driving Licence Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta

Jakarta — The Jakarta Metro Police Directorate of Traffic has established mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) service kiosks at five locations across Jakarta on Saturday to assist residents in renewing their driving permits.

Through the official X (Twitter) account of the Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Management Centre, the service locations are:

East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Shopping Mall

North Jakarta: LTC Glodok

South Jakarta: Trilogi Kalibata Campus

Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South Lobby of Mal Ciputra

The mobile SIM kiosks operate from 08:00 to 11:00 Western Indonesian Standard Time.

To access and utilise this mobile SIM renewal facility, residents must prepare and complete all required documentation and administrative fees prior to visiting the service location. Required documents include a valid photocopy of identity card (KTP), a photocopy of the expired driving licence and the original licence, proof of health examination, and proof of psychological testing.

The mobile SIM service vehicle can only renew valid driving licences for specific categories: SIM A and SIM C. For expired driving licences, licence holders must apply for a new SIM at locations designated by the police.

In accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, renewal fees are IDR 80,000 for SIM A and IDR 75,000 for SIM C.

SIM B renewals cannot be processed through the mobile SIM Keliling service and must be renewed at designated SIM Administrative Implementation Units (Satpas) due to differences in document classification. SIM B is issued for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
