Mobile driving-licence service kiosks available at five Jakarta locations on Tuesday

Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police has opened mobile Driving Licence service kiosks at five locations in Jakarta on Tuesday for residents seeking to renew the validity of their driving licences.

The service, cited from the Metro Jaya Police’s official X account, will operate from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB at the following sites:

East Jakarta: Lobby at the front of Grand Cakung Mall

South Jakarta: Parking area beside Universitas Trilogi Kalibata

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

Central Jakarta: Parking area at Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall

The mobile driving-licence kiosks will only handle renewals for licences that are still valid for certain classes, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the licence validity has expired, the holder must apply for a new driving licence at a location designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 76 of 2020 on the Types and Tariffs of State Non-Tax Revenue (PNBP) payable to the police, the charges are Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Renewals of SIM B validity can only be processed at the SIM Administration Office (Satpas) due to differing documents, given that SIM B is reserved for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
