Mobile Driving Licence Service Available at Only Two Locations This Sunday

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya) is continuing its mobile driving licence (SIM) service this Sunday to help residents renew their driving licences, but it will be available in only two parts of Jakarta.

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police said via its Instagram account, @tmcpoldametro, that the service counters will open from 7am to noon Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

The locations are:

East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Mas Intan, next to McDonald’s, Duren Sawit.

West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, next to Indomaret, Kebon Jeruk.

Applicants should prepare all required documents and the administrative fee before visiting a renewal location.

The required documents are a photocopy of a valid identity card (KTP), the original and still-valid driving licence, proof of a medical examination and proof of a psychological test through the Simpel Pol application.

The mobile service can renew only valid licences in certain categories: SIM A and SIM C.

Anyone whose licence has expired, even by just one day, must apply for a new licence at a location designated by the police.

Under Government Regulation No. 76 of 2020 on the types and tariffs of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, renewal costs Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Applicants must also pay additional charges for the psychological test and the medical examination through the Simpel Pol application.
