Mobile Driving Licence Service Available at Five Locations in Jakarta on Tuesday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police is providing a mobile driving licence (SIM) service at five locations in Jakarta on Tuesday to make it easier for residents to extend the validity of this legal driving requirement. According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service locations are: East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall; North Jakarta: Main Lobby of LTC Glodok; South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi Kalibata University; West Jakarta: South Lobby of Ciputra Mall; Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office. If the SIM has expired, its owner must apply for a new one at the locations designated by the police. Some required documents include a photocopy of a valid ID card, a photocopy of the old SIM and the original SIM, proof of health check, and proof of psychology test. Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, it is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C. Specifically for SIM B, renewal of its validity can only be done at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office because of differences in documents, considering that SIM B is intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
