Mobile Driving Licence Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Tuesday

Jakarta — The Directorate of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police has made available mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) services at five locations across Jakarta to assist residents in renewing their driving permits on Tuesday, operating from 08:00–14:00 WIB.

According to the official X (Twitter) account of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Management Centre, the services are located at:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Grand Cakung Mall

South Jakarta: Parking area adjacent to Kalibata Trilogi University

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

Central Jakarta: Parking area of Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall

The requirements include a photocopy of a valid identity card (KTP), a photocopy of the old driving licence and the original licence, proof of medical examination, and proof of psychological testing.

The mobile SIM service can only renew driving licences that remain valid for certain categories: SIM A and SIM C licences.

For driving licences that have expired, the owner must apply for a new driving licence at a location designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 concerning State Non-Tax Revenue, the cost is IDR 80,000 for SIM A renewal and IDR 75,000 for SIM C renewal.

For SIM B category, renewal of the validity period cannot be carried out through the mobile SIM service and must be renewed at the SIM Administration Implementation Unit office (Satpas) due to differences in document designation. SIM B documents are specifically intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
