Mobile Driving Licence Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Friday

The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate is providing a mobile driving licence (SIM Keliling) service at five locations in Jakarta on Friday to assist residents in renewing the validity period of this legal driving requirement. According to the official X (Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the services are located at: East Jakarta: Mal Grand Cakung; North Jakarta: LTC Glodok; South Jakarta: Kampus Trilogi Kalibata; Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office; West Jakarta: Lobby Selatan Mal Ciputra. The service outlets are open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Western Indonesia Time. To access and be served by this mobile SIM facility, the public must prepare and complete the required documents and administrative fees before visiting the licence renewal location. The requirements include a photocopy of a valid identity card (KTP), a photocopy of the old SIM and the original SIM, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test. This mobile SIM car service can only renew SIMs that are still valid for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. For SIMs that have already expired, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a location designated by the police. In accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the renewal fee is Rp80,000 for a SIM A and Rp75,000 for a SIM C. The validity period for a SIM B cannot be extended through the mobile SIM service; it must be renewed at a SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to different document designations. The SIM B document is intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
