Mobile Driver's License Services Available at Five Locations in Jakarta on Monday

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Directorate of Traffic is providing mobile driver’s license (SIM Keliling) services at five locations across Jakarta to assist citizens in renewing their legal driving permits on Monday, from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB.

According to the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya Instagram account, the service locations are as follows:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

West Jakarta: South lobby parking area of Mall Ciputra

South Jakarta: Parking area beside Trilogi University

Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office

To access and utilise these mobile SIM services, the public must prepare and complete the necessary requirements and administrative fees before visiting the renewal locations.

The requirements include a photocopy of a valid National Identity Card (KTP), a photocopy of the old driver’s licence, the original driver’s licence, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test.

These mobile services are only available for the renewal of certain licence classes, specifically Class A and Class C licences that are still within their validity period. For licences that have already expired, owners must apply for a new licence at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, the cost is Rp80,000 for Class A renewals and Rp75,000 for Class C renewals.

Class B licences cannot be renewed via the mobile service and must be processed at the Driver’s Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) offices due to differences in document usage. Class B licences are intended for vehicles with a weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
