Mobile Driver's License Services Available at Five Jakarta Locations this Thursday

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driver’s licence (SIM Keliling) services at five locations across Jakarta this Thursday, to assist citizens in extending the validity of their legal driving documents.

According to the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya X (Twitter) account, the service locations are as follows:

East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Mall

North Jakarta: LTC Glodock

South Jakarta: Trilogi Kalibata Campus

Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South Lobby of Ciputra Mall

The SIM service outlets will be open from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB.

To access and utilise these mobile SIM services, members of the public must prepare and complete the necessary requirements and administrative fees before visiting the renewal locations. The requirements include a photocopy of a valid ID card (KTP), a photocopy of the old licence, the original licence, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test.

This mobile SIM service can only extend licences that are still valid for specific categories, namely Class A and Class C licences. For licences that have already expired, owners must apply for a new licence at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, the cost is Rp80,000 for Class A renewals and Rp75,000 for Class C renewals.

Class B licences cannot be renewed via the mobile SIM service and must be processed at the SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) offices due to differences in document usage. Class B licences are intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
