Mobile Driver's License Services Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Tuesday

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driver’s licence (SIM) services at five locations across Jakarta on Tuesday to assist citizens in renewing their legal driving permits.

The service is open from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB. According to the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya Instagram account, the service locations are:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung

West Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

North Jakarta: South lobby parking area of Mall Ciputra

South Jakarta: Side parking area of Trilogi University

Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office

To access and utilise these mobile SIM services, the public must prepare and complete the necessary requirements and administrative fees before visiting the renewal locations. The requirements include a photocopy of a valid ID card (KTP), a photocopy of the old licence, the original licence, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test.

These mobile SIM services can only extend licences that are still valid for specific categories, namely Class A and Class C. For licences that have already expired, owners must apply for a new licence at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, the cost is Rp80,000 for Class A renewals and Rp75,000 for Class C renewals.

Class B licences cannot be renewed via the mobile service and must be processed at the SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) offices due to differences in document usage. Class B licences are intended for vehicles with a weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
