Mobile Driver's License Services Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Tuesday

The Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate is providing mobile driver’s license (SIM Keliling) services at five locations across Jakarta on Tuesday, operating from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB to assist residents with renewing their legal driving permits.

According to the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya X (Twitter) account, the service locations are as follows:

• East Jakarta: Front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung

• South Jakarta: Side parking area of Universitas Trilogi Kalibata

• North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

• Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office

• West Jakarta: South lobby of Mall Ciputra

To access these mobile services, the public must prepare and complete all necessary requirements and administrative fees before visiting the renewal sites. The required documents include a photocopy of a valid National Identity Card (KTP), a photocopy of the old driver’s license, the original driver’s license, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test.

These mobile units are only authorised to extend the validity of certain license classes, specifically Class A and Class C. For licenses that have already expired, holders must apply for a new driver’s license at locations designated by the police.

In accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 regarding Non-Tax State Revenue, the renewal fees are set at Rp80,000 for Class A and Rp75,000 for Class C. Class B licenses, which are intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, cannot be renewed via the mobile service and must be processed at the Driver’s License Administration Unit (Satpas) offices due to the different nature of the documentation.
