Mobile Brigade Patrol in Metro Jaya Arrests Youth Carrying Crystal Methamphetamine

Officers initially conducted checks on a number of people encountered at the location. During a search, evidence in the form of crystal methamphetamine was found in the possession of the suspects. The Commander of the Metro Jaya Police Mobile Brigade, Chief Commissioner Henik Maryanto, stated that the routine activity was carried out together with precinct police units to maintain a safe situation. Patrols are conducted to suppress various forms of law violations, such as brawls and other street crimes. “The presence of officers within the community is a preventive measure as well as a rapid response to potential disturbances to public order and security. In this way, the public can carry out their activities more safely and comfortably,” said Henik in his statement on Friday (5/6/2026). Separately, the Mobile Brigade Patrol Team of Company 2, Pioneer Battalion D, also thwarted an illegal street racing event on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Bekasi. While passing through the location at 01.55 Western Indonesia Time, officers found a group of teenagers suspected of preparing to hold an illegal race. The teenagers were subsequently detained for further investigation. Henik stressed that illegal street racing is dangerous because it can result in traffic accidents and disturbances to other road users. The Indonesian National Police urged the public, especially parents, to increase supervision of their children’s activities at night. Police also advised the public to report to the 110 call centre if they discover potential security disturbances.
