The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police dispersed a brawl on Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta. Four teenagers were arrested and two sickles were confiscated. “During the operation, officers secured four teenagers suspected of involvement and seized two sickles,” said Metro Jaya Police Mobile Brigade Commander, Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto, on Saturday (20/6/2026). The incident occurred on Friday (19/6). Officers apprehended the four teenagers while conducting a security patrol. “After securing the brawl suspects, the joint patrol continued sweeping several other hotspots prone to public order disturbances,” he stated. Additionally, a number of youths were also detained in the Cipayung area. They were held on suspicion of planning to hold an illegal street race. “The joint patrol is one of the measures to respond to potential security disturbances that often occur from late night until the early hours,” he noted. He expressed hope that the presence of his personnel in the field would prevent security disturbances within the community. Preventive efforts through patrols are being continuously carried out. “The public is urged to play a role in safeguarding their respective neighbourhoods and to promptly report potential public order disturbances via the Polri 110 service so that officers can follow up swiftly,” he concluded.
