MMKSI Showcases Mitsubishi's Evolution at GIIAS 2026 with New Xforce HEV
PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is inviting the public to experience a comprehensive view of Mitsubishi Motors under the theme ‘Life’s Adventure: Elevating Every Experience’. This theme reflects the brand’s long journey alongside the Indonesian people and its commitment to delivering increasingly relevant and valuable experiences for customers. MMKSI is participating in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, held from 29 July to 9 August 2026 in Hall 10A of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang.
Moving beyond a standard vehicle exhibition, MMKSI has created a space where visitors can directly experience how Mitsubishi Motors is evolving to meet current and future customer needs. This year, the company is showcasing the Mitsubishi New Xforce, available in both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) technologies, providing more options to suit the diverse needs and preferences of Indonesian customers.
The introduction of the Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV represents a significant milestone for Mitsubishi Motors in Indonesia, being the first hybrid electric vehicle officially marketed in the country. Drawing on Mitsubishi Motors’ globally developed electrification heritage, the New Xforce HEV embodies the company’s step towards offering more diverse mobility solutions while retaining the brand’s characteristic focus on comfort, reliability, and an enjoyable driving experience. The New Xforce ICE variant continues to be available, offering flexibility for the dynamic needs of Indonesian consumers.
President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, stated that Mitsubishi’s journey in Indonesia has always been defined by its ability to adapt to changing societal needs. He noted that the company is entering a new phase with a more complete product line, wider technology choices, and a stronger focus on customer experience. Kurita added that a brand’s success is determined not only by the vehicles it produces but also by the value and trust built with customers over the long term. He emphasised that the New Xforce embodies this commitment and marks an evolution in Mitsubishi Motors’ product line in Indonesia, with GIIAS 2026 serving as an opportunity for the public to experience this evolution firsthand.
The launch of the Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV also marks a new chapter as the first hybrid electric vehicle produced locally by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) at its global-standard manufacturing facility. This production commencement strengthens MMKI’s role as a production hub for the New Xforce HEV in the ASEAN region and supports Mitsubishi Motors’ broader electrification strategy. The company also celebrates the first anniversary of the Mitsubishi Destinator, which has been well-received by the Indonesian public and has garnered various awards from leading automotive institutions at both national and international levels, affirming the quality and innovation of Mitsubishi products.
At the exhibition, visitors can view other flagship Mitsubishi Motors products, including the Destinator, Xpander, Xpander Cross, and Pajero Sport. MMKSI is displaying a total of 16 vehicles and providing 6 test drive units to reflect its increasingly complete product line. Through these offerings, interactive activities, and test drive opportunities, MMKSI hopes to deliver an inspiring experience and strengthen its connection with Indonesian customers.
