Jakarta — President Director of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), Atsushi Kurita, expressed the company’s optimism in facing fiscal year 2026, setting a target of double-digit market share for the period.

To achieve this target, MMKSI has established four strategic priorities. First, expanding the dealer network throughout Indonesia to reach more customers. Second, strengthening service quality through the ‘Passion to Care’ philosophy, which places customer satisfaction at the core of the business.

Third, enhancing customer experience through digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI)-based collaboration to deliver more personalised and efficient service. The company is also committed to introducing high-quality vehicle models tailored to Indonesian consumer needs, including hybrid vehicle options.

“Through these various initiatives, we are targeting the achievement of double-digit market share in the coming fiscal year,” said Atsushi Kurita.

At the end of 2025, Mitsubishi Motors marked its 55th anniversary of operations in Indonesia. Despite the challenges of 2025, MMKSI navigated the year successfully. The previous year was marked by several important achievements, including the global launch of the Mitsubishi Destinator in Indonesia.

“Amid increasingly competitive market competition, market response to our products has been very positive. Overall, our product line performance remained stable and enabled us to increase market share from 8.3 per cent to 8.5 per cent,” he said.

In specific segments, the performance of several models demonstrated strong dominance in their respective classes. The Destinator led with a market share of 53.7 per cent, whilst the L300 maintained its dominance with a 47.5 per cent share. Other flagship models also recorded competitive positions, including the Xpander and Xpander Cross with a 24.2 per cent share, Pajero Sport at 34.7 per cent, Triton at 36.1 per cent, and Xforce at 11.2 per cent, underscoring consistent performance across various product lines.

“With approximately 2.4 million Mitsubishi vehicles currently operating throughout Indonesia, we are honoured to support the needs of families, the business world, and various daily activities of communities across the country,” he said.
