MMIX's New Factory Secures OEM Orders Immediately After Soft Opening
PT Multi Medika Internasional, Tbk (MMIX) has recorded another milestone in its business transformation. A day after the soft opening of the PT Multi Nice Paper Indonesia (MNPI) manufacturing facility on 29 June 2026, the factory built by the company immediately received original equipment manufacturer (OEM) orders from several domestic companies.
The influx of OEM orders at this early operational stage is a positive signal of the high industrial demand for high-standard hygiene product manufacturing facilities in Indonesia. In addition to being projected as a production hub for various MMIX-owned brands, the facility is also beginning its role as a manufacturing partner for national brand owners looking to develop their products through an OEM scheme.
MMIX President Director Mengky Mangarek stated that from the outset of construction, the manufacturing facility was designed not only to meet the company’s internal production needs but also to open new business opportunities through manufacturing services for various companies in Indonesia.
“We see that the need for OEM services in the hygiene category continues to increase. Therefore, from the beginning, we built this facility not only as a production base for MMIX brands but also as a manufacturing partner capable of meeting the needs of various companies with high-quality standards. The trust we have started to receive since the early stages of operation is a good start for the development of the company’s manufacturing business,” said Mengky, quoted from a written statement on Monday (6/7/2026).
The factory, operated through PT Multi Nice Paper Indonesia (MNPI), a joint venture between MMIX and Fujian Nice Paper Co., Ltd., is part of the company’s long-term strategy to transform from a distribution company into an FMCG company with integrated manufacturing capabilities.
Located in Tangerang, the production facility is built on approximately one hectare of land and uses high-technology production lines with a production speed of up to 900 diapers per minute. In full development, the facility is designed to operate up to 10 production lines, with a potential production capacity of around 1.8 billion diapers per year.
In addition to producing baby diapers as its initial focus, the facility is also being prepared to manufacture various other hygiene product categories, such as adult diapers and sanitary napkins. The development of these categories is expected to expand OEM services while strengthening MNPI’s position as a competitive hygiene product manufacturing facility in Indonesia.
“The entry of OEM orders at this early stage of operation is expected to increase factory utilisation while opening new revenue streams beyond the sales of the company’s branded products. This business model is also believed to accelerate the achievement of economies of scale, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen long-term profitability,” Mengky revealed.
Furthermore, the existence of the manufacturing facility provides the company with flexibility in product innovation, maintaining quality consistency, accelerating new product launch times, and reducing dependence on imported products by increasing domestic production capacity.
“Going forward, the MNPI factory will become the main production base for various MMIX personal care brands, including MIUBaby, while supporting the company’s expansion strategy in the Mom and Baby Care category, which is projected to become one of the company’s main growth engines,” he said.
