MMC Hospital provides top-quality medical care

MMC HOSPITAL opened in 1987 as the one and only hospital owned
by doctors. Out of 186 shareholders, there are 172 doctors who
hold more than 90 percent of the capital. Its management system
is under the constant supervision of the medical profession,
maintaining a high standard of medical ethics and
professionalism.

MMC's medical profile consists of 248 specialists. Over 160 of
these are still active as senior lecturers at the University of
Indonesia's School of Medicine. A formal collaboration with this
institution enables MMC to provide annual support of educational
funds because the alumni contribute to their alma mater and
allows various research and educational activities to be carried
out within the hospital.

With 171 beds, MMC's occupancy rates for each class is as
follows: SVIP, five beds, 70 percent occupancy; VIP, 35 beds, 81
percent; first class, 30 beds, 55 percent; second class, 30 beds,
44 percent; and third class, 29 beds, 45 percent. MMC Hospital
has a special role in lowering patients overseas visits because
of very strict control by the Medical Board in checking all
indications of medical examinations and treatments.

As observed by the bankers who support the hospital, the
helical CT-scan, which produces three-dimensional images, has a
relatively low utilization level. And out of all the patients who
receive a CT-scan, over 60 percent are referrals from other
hospitals.

Minimal invasive surgeries have reduced hospital stays and cut
costs by over 50 percent compared to older methods and is gaining
popularity among the capital's top executives. MMC's gamma
camera, used in diagnostic scanning, is the only one in a private
hospital and is serving those who are better-off in avoiding long
queues at public hospitals.

The hospital is of service to many government dignitaries and
their families. It is also quite familiar in serving members of
the country's various diplomatic corps. To date, over 30
nationalities are represented in the patients' profile.

More and more expatriates as well as Indonesia's middle and
upper classes prefer to be treated at MMC Hospital than hospitals
in neighboring countries. They have expressed their satisfaction
at the quality of medical treatment and economic rates received.

It is no wonder they have expressed this because the hospital
was among the earliest to earn full accreditation from the
Ministry of Health. It has also been awarded as the best private
hospital for its superb services and has received government
recognition of its occupational safety and health management
systems.

Last but not least, MMC Hospital is located in a very
accessible site for everyone in need. And if a patient wishes to
be evacuated to another part of the country, or overseas, a team
is ready to serve with competitive rates and customized
arrangements.
