House Ethics Council (MKD) Chairman Nazaruddin Dek Gam explained that Ahmad Sahroni has completed his suspension period and is therefore eligible to resume his role as a leader of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR). He affirmed that all procedures had been carried out in accordance with prevailing regulations.

"Ahmad Sahroni was deactivated by the NasDem Party on 31 August 2025," Nazaruddin Dek Gam said in a statement on Sunday (22/2/2026).

He explained that the MKD also imposed a suspension on Ahmad Sahroni on 5 November 2025. The sanction was set for six months, calculated from the date of his deactivation by the NasDem Party.

"The MKD imposed a six-month suspension on Ahmad Sahroni on 5 November 2025, effective from the date of his deactivation by the NasDem Party," he said.

Based on that ruling, Nazaruddin confirmed that Sahroni's suspension period has concluded.

"Following the MKD's ruling, Ahmad Sahroni's suspension will end on 5 March 2026," he stated.

Regarding Sahroni's reinstatement as a leader of Commission III, Nazaruddin noted that the decision was proposed by the NasDem Party on 19 February 2026.

He therefore confirmed that Sahroni's reinstatement as a Commission III leader complied with the mechanisms set out in the MD3 Law as well as the House's rules and standing orders.

"Ahmad Sahroni's appointment as a leader of Commission III on 19 February 2026, upon nomination by the NasDem Party, takes effect on 10 March 2026, as the House enters its recess period from 19 February to 10 March 2026," he added.
