MIXUE continues to expand its business reach in Indonesia since officially entering the national market in 2020. The Chinese beverage and ice cream brand has recorded significant growth in its outlet network over the last five years and has now become one of the major players in the fresh beverage industry.

Globally, MIXUE operates more than 45,000 outlets. In Indonesia, by the end of 2025, the number of outlets is recorded to be approaching 2,600 units spread across various major cities, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, and Yogyakarta. MIXUE’s presence is not only found in commercial areas but also reaches residential areas.

“Thanks to an extensive outlet network and a stable flow of visitors, MIXUE has now become a franchise brand with the largest outlet scale and the highest market penetration rate in the fresh beverage sector in Indonesia. The number of outlets has successfully surpassed two famous international brands, McDonald’s and Starbucks, making it the beverage and ice cream network with the highest number of outlets in the world currently,” stated the company management, as quoted on Wednesday (3/6/2026).

In developing its business in Indonesia, MIXUE applies an approach focused on adapting to local market needs. The company also takes various steps to comply with applicable regulations and adjust operations to local consumption habits. All beverage products, raw materials, packaging, and warehousing systems used have obtained Halal certification from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). Furthermore, the company’s production and operational processes are said to follow the food supervision regulations set by the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM).

The company also adapts its products through research into local consumer preferences. A number of limited edition products and thematic programmes are launched during specific moments, including during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

The expansion of MIXUE’s network also involves local business actors. Currently, more than 1,400 entrepreneurs in Indonesia have joined as partners in the company’s business network. In terms of employment, MIXUE outlets are reported to have created approximately 12,800 direct jobs. More than 96 per cent of the workforce involved are local citizens.

Additionally, the development of the company’s supply chain involves various supporting sectors, ranging from raw material processing, logistics, and outlet renovations to packaging production. These activities are said to have created indirect employment for more than 20,000 workers.

Amid increasingly competitive competition in the beverage industry, MIXUE maintains its business operations through its widely implemented business model, affordable pricing strategy, and continuous investment in product localisation and services. According to local industry analysts, Indonesia is one of the key markets in MIXUE’s expansion strategy in the Southeast Asian region. Moving forward, the company is expected to continue increasing investment and resources to strengthen its outlet network, while simultaneously developing the products and services offered to consumers in Indonesia.
