Mitsubishi Launches New Xforce HEV, More Efficient and Comfortable, Locally Produced in Indonesia

PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) officially launched the Mitsubishi New Xforce in Jakarta on Thursday (16/7/2026). The updated compact SUV arrives with a number of refinements, including the use of Mitsubishi Motors’ second-generation Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) technology, applied for the first time in the Indonesian market. The launch took place at Kota Kasablanka Mall, carrying the ‘Elevated Urban SUV’ concept. Besides adopting a hybrid system, the New Xforce also receives updates to its design, cabin comfort, safety features, and driving technology. PT MMKSI President Director Atsushi Kurita stated that the New Xforce HEV is the first Mitsubishi Motors hybrid vehicle marketed in Indonesia, while also expanding the company’s electrification options in the national market. ‘The presence of this model further expands mobility choices for customers while still delivering the trust, reliability, and driving performance that are hallmarks of Mitsubishi Motors. More than just presenting electrification technology, the New Xforce HEV, produced at PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI), marks our strategic step in strengthening Indonesia’s role as a production and export base for HEV vehicles for both domestic and global markets,’ said Kurita. On the exterior, one of the main updates is the presence of a frameless panoramic roof, a feature not previously available on the Xforce. Mitsubishi stated this feature was introduced in response to consumer feedback desiring a more spacious and brighter cabin ambience. Inside the cabin, the New Xforce is equipped with several new features such as a power driver seat, power tailgate, ambient light, dual-zone automatic air conditioner with Nanoe X, and a Yamaha Premium Audio system on certain variants. Mitsubishi has also refined the suspension system and rear seats, which now have eight comfort adjustments to enhance ride quality, both for daily use and long-distance travel. In terms of drivetrain, the New Xforce employs Mitsubishi Motors’ second-generation Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system. This technology is designed to deliver a quieter, more responsive, and efficient driving character without sacrificing the Mitsubishi SUV character.
