Mitsubishi Banks on New Xforce HEV as Main Draw at GIIAS 2026
PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is participating in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, from 29 July to 9 August 2026. Under the theme ‘Life’s Adventure: Elevating Every Experience’, Mitsubishi aims to offer a comprehensive experience for the public to become more familiar with its products and services. The theme reflects Mitsubishi Motors’ journey in Indonesia, which continues to evolve in line with the needs of society.
The main highlight of Mitsubishi’s showcase at GIIAS 2026 is the new Xforce, now available with two technology options: an internal combustion engine (ICE) and a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). The introduction of these two variants provides consumers with a wider choice to suit their driving needs and preferences. For Mitsubishi Motors, the launch of the New Xforce HEV is a significant step, as it is the brand’s first hybrid model to be officially marketed in Indonesia.
The vehicle features electrification technology developed globally by Mitsubishi Motors while retaining the brand’s characteristic driving comfort, reliability, and performance. President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, stated that the company continues to adapt to the changing needs of society through product development and enhanced customer experiences. He noted that a brand’s success is determined not only by the products offered but also by the trust built with consumers.
Kurita added that the presence of the New Xforce HEV underscores Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to presenting mobility solutions that are increasingly relevant for the Indonesian public. The New Xforce HEV is also the first hybrid vehicle produced locally by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI), reinforcing Indonesia’s role as a production base for the model in the ASEAN market. In addition to the New Xforce, MMKSI is displaying its full product line-up, including the Destinator, Xpander, Xpander Cross, and Pajero Sport, with a total of 16 vehicles on display and six units prepared for test drives throughout the exhibition.
