Mitratel Partners with BAZNAS to Distribute 3,388 Qurban Meat Packages

JAKARTA – PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL), also known as Mitratel, distributed 3,388 qurban meat packages to needy communities across Indonesia for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH. The aid was delivered through collaboration with the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) RI and the Mitratel Berbagi programme. Beneficiaries include communities in the company’s operational areas, including flood-affected residents in Sumatra. This year, Mitratel distributed 242 premium goats with a donation value of Rp750 million. Distribution was carried out via the company’s regional network alongside BAZNAS RI. 70% of the aid was allocated to Mitratel’s operational areas, while 30% went to Sumatran communities still recovering from floods. Theodorus stated the Qurban programme is part of Mitratel’s commitment to remain present and benefit the community. “We want the spirit of sharing, care, and togetherness central to Eid al-Adha to be felt tangibly, especially by communities around Mitratel’s operational areas and those facing disasters,” he said in a written statement on 29 May 2026. BAZNAS RI Chairman Sodik Mudjahid praised Mitratel’s trust in distributing sacrificial animals to those in need, noting their longstanding strategic collaborations. “Mitratel has collaborated with BAZNAS on several strategic programmes, including this year’s Qurban observance. We hope this continues to bring wider community benefits,” he added.
