JAKARTA — PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) or Mitratel recorded solid performance in the first quarter of 2026, in line with the implementation of targeted expansion strategies to broaden digital connectivity in Indonesia.

The company continues to strengthen its position as a digital infrastructure provider while supporting the acceleration of internet programmes through the development of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions.

Mitratel’s business transformation is no longer limited to building telecommunication towers but is shifting towards a Next Generation TowerCo model with integrated beyond-tower services.

This strategy aims to deliver more comprehensive and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Mitratel’s President Director, Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, stated that developing an integrated ecosystem is a strategic step in promoting equitable national digital connectivity.

“The development of an integrated ecosystem, including FWA and PaaS, is a strategic step to promote equitable national digital connectivity. This approach not only provides quality and affordable internet access but also ensures reliable energy availability to support network operations, especially in areas with limited electricity infrastructure,” he said in a press release on Friday (1/5/2026).

More than 59 percent of the tower portfolio is located outside Java Island, including frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions.

Confidence from mobile operators in Mitratel’s infrastructure has also increased, reflected in colocation growth of 11.3 percent to 23,006 units.

The tenancy ratio also rose to 1.57 times, indicating asset productivity optimisation.

This operational performance drove financial growth.

In the first quarter of 2026, Mitratel recorded revenue of Rp 2.29 trillion, up 1.4 percent year-on-year. Net profit was Rp 545 billion, an increase of 3.6 percent year-on-year.

The company also achieved an EBITDA margin of 82.7 percent, reflecting operational efficiency and revenue quality.
