Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Financial Services Authority (OJK) through the Task Force for Eradicating Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas Pasti) has halted the operations of PT Malahayati Nusantara Raya (Malahayati), which offers services for resolving online loan problems and other financial issues, until it obtains the necessary business permits in accordance with regulations.

Malahayati offers various services to the public, including consultations on online loan issues, debt collection services, and programmes for developing and distributing capital to the community.

In Malahayati’s publications, several contents were identified using the OJK logo and claiming to be licensed and registered with OJK.

One of the services offered by Malahayati is directing the public to close debts from online loans by applying for new loans on other platforms. Malahayati promises to handle and resolve debts on all online loans and requests compensation from a portion of the disbursed loan funds.

Based on clarification and verification results, it was found that Malahayati does not have permission from OJK or other related regulators and conducts business activities not in accordance with the permits issued by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming RI/BKPM.

In response to these findings, Satgas Pasti has instructed Malahayati to stop its activities and will block access to related social media and/or links (URLs) until the relevant permits are fulfilled. Satgas Pasti will take firm steps in criminal law enforcement if the cessation of activities is not complied with.

Satgas Pasti once again urges the public to remain vigilant against offers of services for resolving online loan problems and to beware of the inclusion of the OJK logo or other institutions in their promotional media.

If similar offer indications, illegal investment offers, or illegal online loans are found, the public can report them via [email protected].

Meanwhile, victims of financial transaction scams can report via the Indonesia Anti-Scam Centre (IASC) website at iasc.ojk.go.id to support quick blocking of perpetrators’ accounts.
