Misbakhun: Strategic Role of Golkar Cadres in Government Needs Glorification

Golkar Party Central Executive Board’s Head of Economic Affairs Mukhamad Misbakhun has said that Golkar Party cadres hold strategic roles in government. According to him, this needs to be glorified on social media.

Misbakhun made the remarks at the ‘First National Leadership Meeting, National Working Meeting and Political Leadership Lab Batch 1’ event at the Golkar Party Central Executive Board in West Jakarta on Sunday (23/8/2026). He began by noting that Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia holds a strategic role as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

“Imagine the Golkar Party, our Chairman is one of the ministers with the most strategic position in Energy and Mineral Resources,” Misbakhun said in his address.

Misbakhun said many Golkar cadres serve as ministers in President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. According to him, this strategic role needs to be glorified to publicise these achievements to the public.

“What does this mean? That Golkar Party cadres in government have a very strategic role. This strategic role needs amplification in society. Amplification in society. And it also needs glorification. That their achievements need to be conveyed to the public,” he explained.

Misbakhun said that today’s society pays close attention to social media. The public does not only focus on one activity, but also follows developments in information on social media.

“The public does not only focus on one activity, but they are very active in monitoring through social media and so on. In fact, the biggest issue now is that the government’s response is responding to posts on social media,” he revealed.

According to him, the government needs to respond to the public through social media. He also urged cadres to provide positive responses to government activities on social media.

“But I want to convey a message, please give good mentions to government programmes, good support and reinforcement for government programmes, especially in areas related to ministries led by Golkar Party cadres,” he said.

“This is important because engagement, comments, and so on have become one of the important things now in what? In mapping on social media. Negative tone, positive tone, that will become a battle in itself,” he added.

Misbakhun asked young cadres to be closely connected with social media. Social media issues must become a focus and a key point in providing benefits both for the Golkar Party and the nation.

“And of course for young cadres, Fokus Maker are generations who are very closely connected with social media. Social media issues, in my view, must become one of our main focuses and key points going forward. How to manage social media to become positive, provide support, and provide political benefits both for the Golkar Party and for national politics,” he concluded.
