Minyakita Scarce in Bogor, Gorengan Vendors Return to Using Bulk Oil

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com - Gorengan vendors on Jalan Dewi Sartika in Bogor City claim they are returning to using bulk oil because they cannot obtain stocks of Minyakita.

Gorengan vendor Iwan said he is using bulk oil again as an alternative because Minyakita is hard to get.

“I’m using bulk again, back to bulk. Previously, I used Minyakita when it first became available,” said Iwan when met by Kompas.com on Jalan Dewi Sartika on Sunday (19/4/2026).

Iwan assessed that the price of Minyakita is unclear because the product is difficult to obtain.

“It’s unclear (the price). Normally, I buy Rp42,000 for 2 litres. Now it’s Rp45,000,” he explained.

Additionally, he added that the price of bulk oil can reach Rp23,000 to Rp25,000 per kilogram.

“Yes, what can you do? Bulk is also unclear. Some bulk is Rp24,000, Rp25,000, some Rp23,000,” he added.

He mentioned obtaining Minyakita in the Pasar Parung area.

“Up to Pasar Parung, but it has to be mixed with expensive oil to keep trading. If people complain about the size being reduced, or the price increased, it’s the same, so it’s fine,” said Arna.

Perumda Pasar Pakuan Jaya revealed that it has not supplied Minyakita for around two to three weeks.

The Director of Perumda Pasar Pakuan Jaya, Jenal Abidin, said his company is collaborating with a private entity to supply Minyakita.

However, for around two to three weeks, the Minyakita supply has not arrived.

“We are working with a private company to provide Minyakita. So we are supplied by a third party to distribute to market vendors. Indeed, for 2 to 3 weeks there has been no supply to us, so we also cannot supply to market vendors,” said Jenal when contacted by Kompas.com on Sunday.
