Tangsel City Government is preparing a direct distribution scheme for MinyaKita from Bulog to traders without intermediaries.

The scheme has been proposed after traders complained about MinyaKita prices exceeding the Maximum Retail Price (HET) of Rp 22,000 per litre.

Appgraid Purwanto, Secretary of the Tangsel City Industry and Trade Office, said the scheme is being developed with Bulog to ensure traders can obtain MinyaKita at more controlled prices.

“For MinyaKita, they are working directly with Bulog to supply the traders’ shops,” Appgraid said at Pasar 8 Alam Sutera in Tangsel on Monday (25 May 2026).

“Bulog will collaborate with us; they have NIB and are registered on their app, allowing them to order directly from Bulog without intermediaries,” he explained.

According to Appgraid, around 40 shops in Tangsel have already joined the distribution scheme and will be expanded gradually.

“It will be rolled out across all of Tangsel. Traders can register directly, and Bulog will then deliver the stock,” he added.

“Bulog officials also mentioned that stock was low yesterday but supplies have resumed today,” he said.

Nevertheless, the city government will continue monitoring distributors in collaboration with the Food Task Force.

Any violations of distribution or price manipulation will be reported to the police.

“If there are issues, we will issue a warning; otherwise, we will hand them over to the Police Regional Office’s Food Task Force,” Appgraid said.

Traders have raised concerns over high prices making it difficult to sell MinyaKita at the HET.

In light of this, he hopes the government will resume market operations to normalise distribution.
