Minor earthquake shakes Bali
DENPASAR, Bali: An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale jolted Bali and the Nusa Tenggara region at 11:05 a.m. local time on Wednesday, a report said.
The epicenter was located in the Indian ocean, about 180 kilometers south of Sumbawa Island with a depth of 100 kilometers, said Budi Sumarso of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency, Antara reported.
There were no reports of fatalities or damage.
Budi said that aftershocks could still be felt until 11:50 a.m. local time (10:50 Jakarta time).
"We are still monitoring any new developments. Based on data we have, we are still detecting some activity in the area," he explained. -- Antara
