Minivan hits truck, two dead

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: A Suzuki Carry minivan crashed into a truck in Liang Ganggang, Banjar regency, leaving two people dead and four others injured.

All six victims were riding in the minivan.

Kadir, the minivan driver, and Siti Aisyah, a passenger in the minivan, died after they were admitted to a hospital in the area.

The four injured passengers are Fatimah Fathurrahmi, 27, Mahrita, 24, Nurjanah, 23 and Tabrani, 26.

The only passenger who survived unharmed was Aldi, 4, who was in the lap of his mother Siti Aisyah, when the accident happened.

The minivan passengers were on their way home to Kandangan, Banjar, from Syamsuddin Noor Airport in Banjarbaru, when it collided with the truck.
