Ministry to hold spare parts expo

JAKARTA: In a bid to boost the development of the automotive and electronic parts manufacturing industry, the Ministry of Industry will hold a two-day exhibition starting from Oct. 17 in the Bidakara complex, South Jakarta.

Cooperating with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro), the exhibition will feature 78 automotive and electronics manufacturers, as well as 45 companies under the Jetro Investment Mission.

Automotive and electronics are two of Indonesia's sunrise industries, with an export value of US$1.06 million and $3.4 million in 2004 respectively. -- JP
