Ministry Tightens Allocation of Hajj Pilgrim Tents in Arafah

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) is tightening tent arrangements in Arafah ahead of the Hajj peak to ensure that all pilgrims for 2026 receive fair, orderly, and evenly distributed services. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, emphasised that the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) phase is the most critical point in Hajj operations, and mitigation measures are being optimised to anticipate potential on-site problems. ‘We are preparing maximum anticipatory and mitigatory measures, including enforcing tents so that pilgrims have places according to their needs,’ he told the Hajj Media Centre Team on Friday (22/5). Currently, the Hajj Organising Officers (PPIH) are affixing names on each tent in Arafah. The allocation of maktab blocks is adjusted to the pilgrims’ names and flight groups (kloter) to ease mobilisation during the peak.
