Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) invited 400 Indonesian children to play at Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) Ancol, as part of a series of events marking the 42nd National Children’s Day (HAN) in 2026.

“Today we are at Dunia Fantasi to invite children from around Jabodetabek to play and be happy together here. In total, around 400 children are taking part,” said Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi while opening the ‘Joyful Play for National Children’s Day’ event at Dunia Fantasi Ancol in Jakarta on Saturday.

The hundreds of children included children requiring special protection (AMPK), street children, waste-picking children, children with disabilities and children from orphanages.

The event was made possible through cooperation between KemenPPPA and PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PT Askrindo and PT Aerotrans.

“This collaboration shows that fulfilling children’s rights indeed requires collaboration with various parties,” she said.

She expressed hope that by playing at Dufan, the children would feel happy and be highly motivated to learn.

“When children are psychologically happy, they can learn with greater enthusiasm, so they can truly become a quality succeeding generation,” said Minister Arifatul Choiri Fauzi.

Eddy Prastiyo, Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, said this was not the first time the company had collaborated with KemenPPPA in commemorating National Children’s Day.

“Thank you, Dunia Fantasi has once again been entrusted with bringing happiness together on National Children’s Day,” he said.

From 23-26 July 2026, the company has been providing free entry tickets to selected recreation units at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol for children.

“We hope that more and more Indonesian children can rejoice together at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol,” he said.
