Ministry of Villages to Boost Village Tourism Programme in Anyer-Carita-Cinangka Area

This was revealed by the Minister of Villages and Transmigration (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, while attending the opening of Movenpick Resort Carita today.

“We have a Village Tourism programme, which will later develop the tourism potential in the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area,” said Yandri in a written statement on Sunday (17/5/2026).

He explained that the Village Tourism initiative would collaborate with hotels such as Movenpick Resort Carita, including preparing tourist packages capable of attracting visitors to the destination.

Yandri hopes that Movenpick Resort Carita can empower local residents, not only as a workforce but also through empowerment programmes. He is also confident that the presence of Movenpick will increase tourists’ interest in visiting the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area because of the excellent facilities offered.

“The presence of this hotel within the Accor group will have a positive effect and increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD), both for Banten province and Serang regency,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Banten, Andra Soni, appreciated investors who are developing the tourism sector in Banten Province.

“The presence of this investment will develop the Anyer-Carita area, which is a Strategic Tourism Area for Banten Province,” he concluded.
