Ministry of Villages and tvOne Officially Collaborate to Promote the Potential of Thousands of Villages
The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendes PDT RI) has formally entered into a strategic partnership with PT Lativi Mediakarya (tvOne) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The collaboration is directed at expanding the publication of village potential in various regions as part of efforts to drive national economic growth based on village development.
The partnership is considered an important step given that Indonesia has more than 75,000 villages holding diverse economic, tourism, cultural and community innovation potential. Through synergy with the media, the government hopes that this potential can become more widely known and open up investment and business development opportunities at the village level.
Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions H. Yandri Susanto emphasised that the partnership with tvOne is part of a strategy to strengthen village development that has a direct impact on economic equity.
“Alhamdulillah, we have now signed an MoU with tvOne on behalf of the Ministry of Villages and PDT. Through this MoU, we want to bring the potential of villages to the surface, so that the village economy can rise and help drive Indonesia’s economic growth, and we will complete the sixth Asta Cita of the President, namely building villages from the bottom up for economic equity as well as poverty eradication,” he said at The Convergence Indonesia (TCI) Studio 2, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday 14 August 2026.
According to Yandri, the role of the media is very important in accelerating the dissemination of information about the success of village development, while also serving as a bridge between village communities and the wider public.
“Therefore, cooperation with the media is one of the key words for the success of this programme. We thank tvOne; God willing, with tvOne, the news will become a reference for people in the villages, including millennials and Gen Z, and all their potential can be brought to the surface,” he said.
He said the signing of the MoU has special meaning because it took place ahead of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. For Kemendes PDT, this cooperation is a momentum to strengthen the implementation of village development programmes that are part of President Prabowo Subianto’s government agenda.
