Ministry of Transportation to Open Registration for Free Homecoming Programme on 1 March 2026, Note the Schedule and Destinations
The Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation, Aan Suhanan, announced that registration for the free homecoming programme will open on 1 March 2026.
With the provision of up to 401 buses, Aan ensured that the total capacity available would reach 15,834 passengers for both the outbound and return journeys.
“Registration will open on 1 March 2026 online via the website nusantara.kemenhub.go.id. Registration will be closed when the entire quota has been filled,” said Aan in a statement on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
He explained that the 2026 free public transportation homecoming programme will be open to 34 destination cities in 10 provinces. These include Palembang, Lampung, Bengkulu, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Garut, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Kuningan, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, Purwokerto, and Tegal.
Furthermore, destinations include Pekalongan, Demak, Boyolali, Klaten, Pati, Blora, Cilacap, Wonosobo, Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosari, Jepara, Sragen, Madiun, Surabaya, Tuban, Malang, and Tulungagung.
Regarding the return journey, Aan explained that participants will depart from 12 cities in 8 provinces. These include Kuningan, Madiun, Surabaya, Palembang, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, and Purwokerto.
He added that they will also provide 8 truck units for transporting motorcycles, which will be used for those returning home by motorcycle.
“These trucks can accommodate 240 motorcycles, with cities on both the outbound and return journeys including Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri and Purwokerto,” said Aan.
Regarding the departure schedule, Aan said that the departure time for the outbound journey will be divided into three days at five locations. These include 16 March 2026 from the Pondok Cabe Terminal in South Tangerang, then 17 March 2026 from the Jatijajar Terminal in Depok and the Pulogebang Terminal in Jakarta.
On 18 March 2026, there will be departures from the Kampung Rambutan Terminal in Jakarta and the Poris Plawad Terminal in Tangerang.
For the buses on the return journey, departures will take place on 25 March 2026 from the Bulupitu Terminal in Purwokerto, the Mangkang Terminal in Semarang, the Giwangan Terminal in Yogyakarta, the Tirtonandi Terminal in Solo, the Giri Adipura Terminal in Wonogiri, the Kertawangunan Terminal in Kuningan, the Purboyo Terminal in Madiun, the Bungurasih Terminal in Surabaya, the Alang-Alang Lebar Terminal in Palembang, the Anak Air Terminal in Padang, the Amplas Terminal in Medan, and the Batoh Terminal in Aceh.
