The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) states that the rules restricting the operation of three-axle trucks on arterial roads and toll roads remain in place during the Lebaran return flow. It reminds bus operators to comply with these regulations. “During this return flow, restrictions on goods transport—yes, three-axle and above, trailer trains, and mining goods transport—are still in place,” said the Director General of Land Transportation of Kemenhub, Aan Suhanan, at Polda Metro Jaya in Jakarta on Friday (20/3/2026). “We urge all logistics transport operators—yes—to follow and comply with the joint decree already signed by Polri, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Ministry of Transportation,” he added. Aan stated that Kemenhub still found three-axle trucks passing through toll roads during the outbound flow. A total of 170 warning letters were issued by Kemenhub to operators for violations of three-axle truck operations during the outbound flow season. “From the Ministry of Transportation, there have been more than 170 warning letters to operators who still carried out vehicle operations during the restrictions,” he said. Aan also mentioned that the peak return flow occurs in two waves on 24 and 28-29 March. The public returning to Jakarta is advised to avoid those peak return dates. “The government has provided work from anywhere (WFA)—yes—on 25, 26, 27 March, so for all the public who will undertake the return journey, they are urged to return on those dates,” Aan stated.
