Ministry of Transportation Records 1.35 Million Freight Vehicles Complying with Regulations
The Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) has recorded that around 1.3 million freight vehicles have complied with dimension and load provisions, marking an important step towards accelerating the zero over-dimension over-loading (ODOL) target by 2027.
Director General of Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Aan Suhanan, said that to date 1,811,713 freight vehicles have been recorded in the ministry’s monitoring system.
“From January 2026 to 7 August 2026, a total of 1,351,006 freight vehicles were recorded as complying with the rules or not committing violations, or 74.57 percent of the total monitored,” Aan said when confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles found in violation was recorded at 460,707, or 25.43 percent of the total monitored.
Document violations accounted for 306,218 vehicles (50.23 percent), technical requirement violations for 68 vehicles (0.01 percent), and 3,200 vehicles (0.52 percent) committed loading procedure violations.
Enforcement action was taken against 142,150 vehicles, consisting of warnings for 131,766 vehicles, fines for 5,252 vehicles, police fines for 646 vehicles, and fines issued by the Motor Vehicle Weighing Implementation Unit (UPPKB) for 4,486 vehicles.
The Directorate General of Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport continues to monitor freight vehicles through 89 UPPKB units in order to improve road traffic and transport safety.
