The Directorate General of Land Transportation has officially launched the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement HUB (ETLE HUB), a digital system aimed at supporting the implementation of the Zero Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) policy by 2027. Director General of Land Transportation, Aan Suhanan, stated that ETLE HUB is an integrated digital system developed to connect various data sources for freight vehicle monitoring.

Aan explained that the system is not merely about using cameras to capture violations. It is built to integrate data-based supervision of freight vehicles, including vehicle identity and technical data, weighbridge results, periodic inspections, and transport permits. ‘With this integration, supervision can be carried out more systematically, measurably, and accountably,’ he said in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He described ETLE HUB as an integrated enforcement ecosystem that connects various devices and data sources in the land transport sector. The system digitises processes that previously ran manually, making them faster, more consistent, transparent, and capable of integration with other systems. Aan noted that the initiative aims to transform the supervision of ODOL vehicles, which has heavily relied on physical checks and the presence of officers in the field, into a more systematic and sustainable data-driven approach. He acknowledged that the number of operating freight vehicles is vast, while the number of officers and inspection points is limited, and digitalisation is intended to expand the reach and capacity of oversight.
