The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation is regulating vehicles that commit violations as part of the socialisation period leading to Zero Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) 2027. Director General of Land Transportation Aan Suhanan stated that supervision is carried out through 89 Motor Vehicle Weighing Implementation Units (UPPKB) spread across Indonesia. “This year, from 1 January to 3 April, a total of 606,799 vehicles have been inspected,” said Aan in a written statement on Sunday (5/4/2026). From the number of goods transport vehicles that violated, 214,553 violations were found, consisting of carrying capacity violations in 104,043 vehicles (48.49%). Meanwhile, dimension violations in 5,785 vehicles (2.7%), document violations in 104,011 vehicles (48.48%), and technical requirement violations in 4 vehicles and loading procedure violations in 710 vehicles (0.33%). “During this socialisation period towards Zero Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) 2027, enforcement is carried out selectively against violators,” said Aan. “The enforcement actions include issuing warnings to 45,545 vehicles (92.94%), police fines to 1,924 vehicles (3.93%), police fines on 1 vehicle and other UPPKB fines to 1,533 (3.13%),” Aan continued. He mentioned that the five companies with the highest number of violators are PT SIL with 508 vehicles, PT IP with 464 vehicles, CV JK with 382 vehicles, PT SA with 363 vehicles, and PT SBJ with 363 vehicles. “From the supervision results, there are five goods transport commodities with the highest violations, including mixed goods in 10,833 vehicles, sand in 9,760 vehicles, packaged goods in 8,702 vehicles, plantation products in 5,397 vehicles, and cement in 4,234 vehicles,” he said. Aan concluded that the current supervision of goods transport vehicles shows an increasing trend, but the violation rate remains relatively high and is dominated by carrying capacity and document violations, indicating that the main problems lie in low operational and administrative compliance among business actors. “In the future, towards Zero ODOL 2027, acceleration of improvements and optimisation of the Online Weighbridge System (JTO) and Weigh In Motion (WIM) in UPPKB will be carried out to enhance supervision quality and increase administrative compliance through data integration and strengthened coordination with related stakeholders,” he concluded.
