Kendari (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Hubla), has prepared around 6,000 free ferry tickets for residents intending to mudik home using the Kendari–Raha–Baubau route in Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Sardif, Operational Head of PT Pelayaran Dharma Indah Kendari Branch, said that the quota of free ferry tickets differs from the roughly 7,000 tickets prepared by the Sulawesi Tenggara Provincial Government. ‘This is from the Ministry of Transportation which provides a quota of free tickets to the community through Dharma Indah,’ he said.

He added that the 6,000 free tickets are allocated for journeys on Kendari–Raha, Raha–Kendari, Kendari–Baubau, and Baubau–Kendari routes.

Sardif revealed that for Raha–Kendari departures, the company will begin on 17, 18, 27, 28 and 29 March 2026.

Registration for the free tickets from Kemenhub can be done directly at the Nusantara Kendari Port ticket counter, by bringing the required documents, namely two copies of the national identity card (KTP). ‘For children/babies who do not have a KTP, bring a copy of the family card (KK),’ he explained.

Members of the public who wish to register for Kemenhub’s free tickets can currently register at Nusantara Kendari Port. ‘Registration for these tickets cannot be represented and they are not for sale,’ emphasized Sardif.
