Ministry of Transport Strengthens Maritime Service Digitalisation via MaritimHub

The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is strengthening the digitalisation of national maritime services through the development of the MaritimHub platform, which is integrated with electronic payment systems to increase efficiency, transparency, security, and ease of access to services.

The Director General of Sea Transportation, Muhammad Masyhud, stated that this effort is being undertaken in collaboration with PT Finnet Indonesia through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement regarding the Provision of Payment Gateway Services for Online Payment Receipt on the MaritimHub Digital Platform.

“This collaboration is a concrete step towards digital transformation in the public service sector of Indonesia’s maritime transport,” Masyhud said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

According to him, this synergy represents a significant milestone in the efforts to modernise payment systems within the national maritime sector. Masyhud noted that the digitalisation of services would be incomplete without the support of a secure, reliable, and integrated payment system.

It was explained that MaritimHub is an integrated service and data portal developed by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation to unify various maritime services into a single digital platform.

Through the integration of payment gateway services on the MaritimHub digital platform, the public and business actors in the maritime sector can now conduct electronic payment transactions through various available channels.

He emphasised that with this service, the payment process will be more practical, fast, and secure, and can be performed at any time and from anywhere.
