Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) is partnering with media allies to promote the “Event by Indonesia” platform in order to expand the reach of publications to the public. In this regard, Kemenpar has established a collaboration with PT MDTV Media Televisi through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the promotion and publication of “Event by Indonesia”. In his statement in Jakarta on Saturday, Acting Deputy for Event Organiser Development Vinsensius Jemadu of Kemenpar emphasised that synergy with the media is key to building public trust while increasing attendance at every tourism agenda. “We want to ensure that every activity in ‘Event by Indonesia’ is not only well-executed but also has maximum visibility at national and regional levels,” said Vinsensius. For information, “Event by Indonesia” (EBI) is a digital platform managed by Kemenpar as an integrated database and information source regarding the event calendar in Indonesia, from local to national and international scales, including the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) programme. This partnership, he said, is a concrete step to strengthen the exposure of various national events through diverse media platforms. Through this cooperation, media partners play an important role in supporting the dissemination of information, both through hard news coverage and soft news. This collaboration also includes joint development (co-creation) of promotional content designed to reach international audiences, particularly in Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, thereby expanding the appeal of Indonesian events in the global market. The scope of this cooperation runs until 2026 and includes comprehensive support from media partners, from the preparation stage (pre-event), implementation (on-event), to post-activity (post-event) for various major Kemenpar events. In addition, this collaboration will also feature creative interactions through “Drama Series Meet and Greet” activities synergised with event stages in various regions, thus providing a closer and more memorable experience for the public. Vinsensius hopes that the optimisation of publications for various flagship events in “Event by Indonesia” can reach a wider society, while encouraging public participation in organising quality events throughout Indonesia.
