Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Phase 2 Aid to Aceh Tamiang Worth Rp 76 Billion

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, distributed compensation and second-phase aid to victims of flash floods and landslides in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, on Friday (10/4/2026).

“The total value of the second-phase aid distributed amounts to Rp 76,688,800,000,” stated Gus Ipul in an official statement on Friday.

The breakdown of the second-phase aid handed over includes life guarantee assistance for 20,908 individuals totalling Rp 28,225,800,000.

Additionally, housing contents aid worth Rp 17,823,000,000 for 5,941 family heads (KK), and socio-economic stimulus worth Rp 29,705,000,000 for 5,491 KK.

“We continue to distribute post-disaster social assistance. There are no holidays; as soon as the data is available, we distribute it immediately,” said Gus Ipul.

He explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs has been tasked by President Prabowo to distribute aid in the form of logistics, including emergency public kitchens.

“That has been completed. Specifically for Aceh Tamiang, the value of aid during the emergency period was around Rp 6 billion,” he said.

Gus Ipul further noted that during the recovery phase, the Ministry also provides several types of aid, including compensation for heirs of each deceased victim amounting to Rp 15 million.

“There is compensation for those with severe injuries of Rp 5 million. Alhamdulillah, most of this has already been distributed,” he said.

The details include life guarantee aid for 47,638 individuals totalling Rp 64,311,300,000, housing contents worth Rp 22,743,000,000 for 7,581 KK.

Then, socio-economic stimulus of Rp 37,905,000,000 for 7,581 KK, as well as heir compensation for 236 individuals totalling Rp 3,540,000,000 in aid.

“The total overall aid for Aceh Tamiang Regency from the Ministry of Social Affairs amounts to Rp 205,188,100,000,” he concluded.
