Ministry of Religious Affairs prepares health services for National Dhikr and Prayer event

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Religious Affairs is preparing complete health services for the National Dhikr and Prayer event at Monas Square, Jakarta, on Saturday, 1 August 2026, as part of efforts to ensure all participants can attend the event safely and comfortably.

“Based on the latest report, Baznas has prepared eight ambulance units and 25 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacy staff, to provide medical services to worshippers if required,” said the Head of the Bureau of Public Relations and Communication of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Thobib Al Asyhar, confirmed from Jakarta on Friday.

In addition to health services, participants will also receive supporting facilities from Baznas, including 100,000 bottles of 600ml bottled water and 100,000 packs of filled bread. Furthermore, 75 cleaning volunteers will be deployed to maintain the cleanliness of the Monas area throughout the event.

Alongside Baznas, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is also coordinating with various agencies, including the Police, the Department of Transportation, the Fire and Rescue Service, and the Monas area management.

“We have coordinated with all relevant parties, including the Police, the Department of Transportation, the Fire Department, Monas area management, and Baznas, to ensure the entire series of activities proceeds smoothly,” said Thobib.

The National Dhikr and Prayer is a collective effort to seek blessings, unity, and national progress ahead of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs invites the public to attend the series of activities in an orderly manner and to comply with the regulations set by the committee.

The event is open to the public and will take place from 17:00 to 21:30 WIB as part of the efforts to welcome the Independence Month of the Republic of Indonesia.

The public can begin entering the event area from 15:00 WIB through security doors provided on the north and south sides of Monas. For participants unable to enter the main area, the entire series of events can still be followed via LED screens distributed throughout the outer area.
